FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Checking out a new church is always a little scary. At Parkside, we want to help you feel at home as soon as you pull into our drive (or log onto our website), even if you’ve never been to a church before. We’re just ordinary people who love Jesus and want to show his love to you as well. Here are some answers to the questions you’re probably asking…

Where is your campus?
2335 Riverside Dr. (Formerly Eastern Ave.) at the Leblond Recreation Center.

What time does it start?
At the River Campus we have one service that starts at 10:00 a.m. and lasts for a little over an hour.

Does it matter what I wear?
Not at all – as long as you wear something! You’ll see people wearing a little of everything. Come as you are.

What should I expect when I get there?
Parkside has a warm, casual atmosphere. Come early enough to grab a free cup of coffee or to get your kids settled in their classrooms (security registration required). Our building is a little confusing, so we have parking attendants and hosts to show you the way. Don’t hesitate to ask for help at the Welcome Center under the flags in the great hall. Since we have guests every Sunday, you won’t stand out. There are people of all styles and ages at Parkside who just enjoy being together. We want you to feel welcomed without feeling any pressure or obligation.

What if I can’t sing or don’t know the songs?
We sing songs that contain Scripture or expressions of worship to God. Most people catch on quickly and enjoy the passion or energy music brings to their worship whether they’re a good singer or not. If you don’t want to sing, just listen and allow the message of the music to reach your heart.

Can I take communion?

We offer communion every week and any believer who would like to remember Jesus in this special way is welcome to participate.

Will I be asked to give money?
We take up a weekly offering because it honors God and sustains Parkside’s ministry. There is never any pressure to give and we don’t expect our guests to give. God has always provided for Parkside through the generosity of grateful people.

More Questions?
The easiest way is to email your questions to office@visitparkside.com or call the church office (513.231.9482) to speak with George Frank (River Campus Minister). There is also a lot more information on this website, so have a look around and make yourself at home!
